Christopher Schramm Paintings

I am from NYC originally, I attended an Art High School The Fiorello LaGuardia High School for Music and Art, then moved to the Bay Area where I've lived mostly for the last Forty Years aproximately.  I attended SFSU majoring in Fine Art, and sometime later achieved an MFA from UC Berkely.  Art has been a main part of my life for as long as I can remember; my family is filled with artists and other creative people.  I believe art is essential to life and to make time for art whether making it or experiencing it will enrich life immensely.

You can see my works during the Artspan Open Studio events upcoming. My paintings are mostly figurative expressionist abstraction with surrealist elements; the paintings have a few different themes: history, personal life, subconscious, and abstract expressionist.

Most recently in 2020 my work was selected to take part in the DeYoung Open Exhibition.
